Introduction

Why Most AI Initiatives
Never Reach Operations

Most companies adopting AI tools struggle to create real operational impact. The reason isn't the technology — it's the lack of operational structure.

Issue 01
Stopping at
Tool Adoption
Even after deploying ChatGPT or AI tools, adoption stalls because the workflow itself was never redesigned.
Issue 02
Workflows Are
Not Structured
Workflows dependent on key individuals cannot scale — even with AI. Only after decomposing and restructuring them does AI become effective.
Issue 03
Commissioning Development
Without a Working Prototype
Commissioning based on specs alone leads to "this isn't what we wanted" discoveries post-launch — draining budgets on rework.
What most companies do
Adopt
 a tool
Deploying ChatGPT, RPA, or SaaS without redesigning workflows means nothing sticks on the ground.
+81's Approach
Design the
 operational structure
We break down tribal-knowledge-based workflows, redesign them into AI-ready processes, and implement systems teams will actually use.
That is the +81 approach to AI-Driven Development.

Why AI-Driven

Solving the Limitations of
SaaS, Custom Development, and EUC

The rigidity of SaaS, the cost of custom development, the person-dependency of spreadsheet management — AI-Driven Development avoids all three. It creates a fourth option.

SaaS
You must adapt your workflows
to the system
Low cost and quick to deploy, but you pay the transformation cost of bending your unique workflows to fit the standard spec.
vs SaaS
Build systems tailored to
your actual workflows
Without changing your processes, AI generates systems optimized for each of your specific workflows.
Custom Development
High cost, long timelines,
high requirements risk
Fully customizable, but misaligned requirements surface late in development — leading to massive rework costs and delays.
vs Custom Development
Validate requirements on a working prototype →
then implement rapidly and efficiently
Align on a working prototype before full-scale development begins. Reduce misalignment and dramatically minimize costly rework.
EUC (End User Computing): Systems built and operated by frontline staff without IT department involvement
Inevitably person-dependent
and opaque
Fast and flexible, but organizational risks accumulate: key-person dependency, difficult handoffs, and data integration limits.
vs EUC / Spreadsheet Management
Turn individual know-how into
scalable organizational knowledge
AI helps formalize and operationalize business logic — converting individual know-how into organizational assets.
Approach / 02

Generate prototypes early with AI,
then iterate toward the final product

The biggest bottleneck in software development isn't coding — it's decision-making.
AI-powered issue structuring → instant prototype generation → agreement on a working product. Eliminating development risk — in just 3 steps.

01
Week 1 / Requirements
AI-Powered Requirements Structuring
AI structures your interview input, instantly identifies gaps, and generates a discussion scaffold. What needs to be decided is made visible within days.
02
Week 2–3 / Prototype
Instant Prototype Generation
Screens, flows, and specs are output rapidly. Content that can't be conveyed in documents is made tangible early. AI handles code generation while humans focus on architecture and decision-making.
03
Week 3–4 / Confirm
Align on a Working Prototype, Then Finalize Requirements
Align expectations on a working prototype, then move into implementation with minimal rework. Maximize decision velocity — guaranteeing both quality and timeline.
Cases / 03

Many clients come to us with problems
SaaS platforms simply cannot solve.

The following are real inquiries we have received — cases where SaaS vendors were unable to help and clients turned to AI-Driven Development.

01
Challenge
AI-Powered Response Support for IoT Inquiry History
Manufacturing / Large Enterprise
IoT-related inquiry response history was split across 2 internal systems. The client wanted to convert person-dependent response work into organizational knowledge via AI.
Why SaaS Couldn't Solve It
Cross-system integration across 2 internal systems was required. Training data preprocessing and embedding internal rules were outside the scope of any standard SaaS configuration.
+81's Approach
Built a dedicated AI system capable of searching across both internal platforms. After confirming behavior on a prototype, answer accuracy and UI requirements were finalized before moving to full implementation.
02
Challenge
Digitizing Handwritten Documents and Paper Forms
Manufacturing / Large Enterprise
The client wanted cloud management for non-standard paper documents including handwritten daily reports and work records. They could convert to PDF via multifunction printer, but couldn't structure the data beyond that.
Why SaaS Couldn't Solve It
General-purpose OCR handles standard forms well, but accuracy drops for handwritten and non-standard forms. Adapting existing packages to proprietary formats required development work, eliminating SaaS cost benefits.
+81's Approach
Designed an AI reading mechanism from scratch, specialized for proprietary form formats. Delivered an early prototype to validate extraction accuracy upfront, confirming extraction precision per form type before locking requirements.
03
Challenge
Auto-Generating Proposals from Specification Documents
Service Industry / Large Enterprise
The client wanted to feed client-provided specification PDFs into a system and auto-generate the bulk of proposals. Reducing manual processing time was urgent.
Why SaaS Couldn't Solve It
General AI writing SaaS outputs in fixed formats. Reflecting proprietary structure, chapter organization, and industry-specific terminology required training data preparation and custom implementation.
+81's Approach
Built a custom PDF ingestion pipeline combined with an AI assistant trained on internal document formats — presented as a prototype upfront. Moved to full implementation after agreeing on output samples.
